Job summary

Jobstar is seeking an experienced Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) nurse in Canberra. This role offers hands-on triage, pathology, radiography, treatments, surgery and patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of clinical experience, ECC exposure preferred, and a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or BVetTech. On-call shifts (one per month) and supportive mentoring are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years clinical experience (ECC highly regarded but not essential).
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or BVetTech is required.
• Strong communication and collaborative approach; growth mindset.
• Be part of an on-call roster, one shift per month.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on triage, pathology, radiography, treatments, surgery and patient care.
• Critical care nursing with focus on high standards of patient care.
• Roster supports nurse wellbeing, learning, mentoring.
• Handle varied high-acuity cases from trauma to GDVs and bites.
