Animal Referral Hospital in Baulkham Hills seeks an experienced ECC Clinical Director to lead the emergency and critical care service with a strong clinical focus and additional managerial duties.

You will oversee rosters, establish best practice, mentor staff, drive growth, and partner with the business manager to meet financial targets. Relocation and sponsorship options are available for you and your family.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree available for registration in New South Wales.
• Minimum of 5+ years working in a 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Care hospital.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage staff.
• Strategic thinking to refine and grow the service.
• Management training (formal or CPD) is advantageous.
• Commitment to teamwork, communication and high-quality veterinary care.

Responsibilities

• Predominantly clinical role with some admin/management duties.
• Roster management in collaboration with Business Manager.
• Establish best practice processes for the department.
• Communicate vision and updates to the team to promote a positive environment.
• Ensure department meets financial targets and supports growth.
• Develop growth strategies with other department heads.
• Provide feedback and conduct performance reviews for staff.
• Assist with recruitment and referrals; participate in team building.
• Serve as first aid officer as deemed by management.
