Job summary

MGC Civil is seeking an experienced excavator operator to support multiple active project sites in and around Perth, WA. The role is full-time and permanent, with a salary range of AUD 100,000–120,000 per year plus super.

Responsibilities include preparing and positioning plant, attaching/detaching equipment, operating earthmoving machinery, and performing routine servicing. A valid WA Operator ticket, White card, and a current driver’s licence are required.

Qualifications

• 12 months experience in a similar civil construction role.
• WA recognised Operator ticket.
• White card required.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment medical.
• Great attitude and willingness to work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position plant for operation.
• Select, fit and remove attachments (buckets, winches, scoops, blades, rock breakers).
• Operate controls to excavate, break, drill, level, compact and move earth/rocks.
• Monitor plant operation; adjust controls for safety and efficiency.
• Raise/lower/manipulate attachments using manual/hydraulic controls.
• Work from drawings, markers and verbal instructions.
• Service, lubricate, clean and refuel plant; perform minor repairs.
