Job summary

Woollahra Council is seeking an enthusiastic Library Trainee to undertake an 18-month fixed-term traineeship, full-time at 35 hours per week. Based in Double Bay, you will receive guidance from an experienced team while learning all areas of Library Services.

Your duties include customer service, loan/return transactions, and supporting day-to-day library operations, with opportunities to work on cross-team projects.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a School Certificate or HSC and be unqualified in Library/Information Services.
• Must be willing to enrol in Certificate IV in Library and Information Services.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide general library customer service and assistance.
• Carry out loan and return transactions and day-to-day library operations.
• Participate in cross-team projects and support the team.
