Job summary

Y Ballarat is seeking an experienced Early Years Practice Coordinator to lead a team across western Victoria, from Ballarat to Mildura. You will support Area Directors and services in delivering high‑quality learning, building family partnerships and ensuring safety and wellbeing.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of EYLF/VEYLDF/NQF frameworks, and a commitment to continuous improvement across 31 kindergartens and three long day care services. 38 hours per week, on-site.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care OR current qualification in early childhood teaching and current registration with VIT.
• Genuine interest in supporting children’s development and ongoing learning.
• Current Working With Children’s Check, First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate experience in early childhood education and care settings.
• Influence and collaborate with Area Directors to drive continuous improvement across multiple sites.
• Support compliance processes, documentation and quality improvement.
• Assist with safety, wellbeing and rights of all children in programs.
• Communicate clearly with educators, families and stakeholders.
