Job summary

Followmont Transport Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced AM Dispatch Officer for our busy Yatala depot. You will plan daily delivery runs, coordinate drivers and depot staff, and ensure freight is loaded, dispatched and delivered safely and on time.

In a fast-paced transport environment, you will support drivers throughout their shifts, manage redeliveries, and keep operations running smoothly from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, dispatch or freight operations.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to service delivery.
• Good computer skills and confidence working with operational systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate daily delivery runs.
• Ensure freight is loaded correctly and dispatched on schedule.
• Complete and manage morning dispatch documentation.
• Communicate with drivers throughout the day and provide operational support.
• Monitor delivery progress and coordinate redeliveries where required.
• Work closely with warehouse and forklift teams to ensure freight is ready for departure.
• Make adjustments to runs based on freight volumes, delivery locations and customer requirements.
• Assist with scanning accuracy, freight control and general operational administration.
• Problem solve and respond to operational issues as they arise.
• Support the safe and efficient movement of freight through the depot.
