Job summary

Norwest Christian College in NSW is seeking a Permanent full-time Early Childhood Educator to join our team as Room Leader for a 3-4 year old preschool room of 15 children per day. You will collaborate with a permanent Room educator, guide floats and casuals, and contribute to planning cycles while supporting Christian education and the college's community.

Applicants must have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, 3-5 years’ experience, and CHCPRT025 or equivalent Child Protection

About you:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience:

The position is for a Room Leader of a 3-4 year old Preschool Room of 15 children per day. In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with a permanent Room educator, guiding floats and casuals who cover in the room, and contributing to the planning cycle for the children in that room.

You will have:

• a strong understanding of and commitment to Christian education and the Christian development of children;
• a strong rapport with, empathy with, and understanding of young children;
• a comprehensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework;
• a willingness to support and help develop College culture and build the College community;
• outstanding interpersonal and communication skills;
• a collaborative approach and the capacity to be an active team member;
• a comprehensive understanding of the needs and differences of children; and
• the capacity to develop programmes that differentiate learning opportunities for children.
