Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking a caring and organised Cook to join our Early Education Centre. You will prepare nutritious meals for children aged 0-5 years, aligning with Australian Dietary Guidelines. You will work with educators and families to promote healthy eating and support children's wellbeing.

We're looking for a caring and organised Cook to join our Early Education Centre team. In this rewarding role, you'll prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0-5 years, helping support their health, wellbeing and development every day.

About the role

• Prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks in line with Australian Dietary Guidelines
• Cater for allergies, special dietary requirements and cultural needs
• Manage food ordering and kitchen supplies
• Maintain a safe, clean and hygienic kitchen
• Work alongside educators and families to promote healthy eating habits

About you

• Experience in cooking, catering or hospitality
• Knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• A genuine passion for children's health and wellbeing
• Experience preparing meals for young children will be highly regarded
