Blacktown City Council in New South Wales is seeking a part-time Child Care Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children in our early learning centres. You will ensure meals meet dietary and cultural needs and work with the Centre Director on menus and dietary requirements.

You will maintain a safe kitchen, order supplies, attend training, and support daily centre operations, contributing to families' confidence in our service.

• Prepare meals and snacks daily to meet nutritional, cultural and dietary needs of children aged 0 to 5.
• Plan menus with the Centre Director and cater for individual dietary requirements.
• Order food, kitchen and cleaning supplies to keep the service running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and store food correctly.
• Attend staff meetings and training activities and contribute to day-to-day operations.

As a Child Care Cook, you prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks that support the health, wellbeing and development of children attending our early learning centres.

You prepare meals and snacks each day, ensuring they are ready on time and meet the nutritional, cultural and dietary needs of children aged 0 to 5. You plan menus with the Centre Director, cater for individual dietary requirements, and order food, kitchen and cleaning supplies to keep the service running smoothly.

You maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen, store food correctly, clean equipment and utensils, and ensure food preparation areas meet high food safety standards. You also attend staff meetings and training activities and contribute to the day to day operation of the centre.
