Job summary

Active Kids Group is seeking an Early Childhood Leader to help shape centre culture across Mascot, Homebush and Vaucluse Cottage. You’ll lead and support teams of educators, coach on high-quality learning programs and build strong relationships with families and the community.

You will oversee compliance with the National Quality Framework, WHS and operations, while supported by a collaborative leadership team and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Current First Aid, Child Protection, Food Safety qualifications, and WWCC are required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Mascot – Our gem located in the heart of Mascot educating and inspiring 67 children with thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor environments for each age group, plus their very own kindy gym!

Homebush - A newly renovated service that caters for 116 children although is meticulously arranged to allow space and comfort for all children including a before and after school and vacation care program!

Vaucluse Cottage – A 50-place service surrounded by nature, featuring beautiful, individualised outdoor environments with a warm, homely feel.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in shaping centre culture, supporting your team, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for children and families—while being backed by an experienced and genuinely supportive leadership team.

Our Children’s Services team is made up of four early childhood professionals, each specialising in Education & Learning, Environments & Compliance, Recruitment & Wellbeing, and overall Service Operations. This structure is what sets AKG apart—we tailor support to what you actually need, when you need it.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting your team of educators
• Coaching educators to deliver engaging, high-quality learning programs
• Supporting the Coordinator with day-to-day centre operations
• Building strong, positive relationships with families and the local community
• Overseeing compliance, staffing, administration, and budgets
• Ensuring alignment with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and WHS requirements
• Creating a warm, inclusive, and high-performing Service culture

What You’ll Bring

• A Bachelor in Early Childhood Education
• Current First Aid, Child Protection, Food Safety qualifications, and valid WWCC
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Confidence in operations and team support
• A genuine passion for early childhood education
