YMCA Victoria is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher for our Lightning Reef Early Learning Centre in Bendigo. You will deliver a funded Kindergarten program for children aged 3–5 years, working with a team to enrich learning and support children’s development before school.

The role requires a Bachelor in Early Childhood, VIT registration, and relevant first aid certifications. A full-time position with benefits and professional development opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood or equivalent.
• Must hold current VIT Registration.
• First Aid and CPR certification (and Anaphylaxis/Asthma certs).

Responsibilities

• Deliver kindergarten program for 3–5 year olds in funded Kindergarten.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to enrich children’s learning and development.

About The Role

The Early Childhood Teacher is a vital member of the Early Learning team in the delivery of YMCA Children’s Programs in the community. They will work in partnership with other Teacher's to deliver a kindergarten program for children from 3-5yrs during the two years of care prior to starting school. They will assist in enriching children so they can reach their full potential and confidently step into their future.

This Role Requires

• A genuine love and passion for working with children and families, be energetic, enthusiastic and motivated in joining our dynamic team
• Strong knowledge and experience of programming and planning for children aged 3-5 years in delivering a funded Kindergarten program
• An understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and Early Years Learning Framework
• Facilitating a diverse learning experience in an inclusive environment for all children, their families and employees
• Encouraging children's independence in relation to health and wellbeing
• Role modelling for children in developing lifelong skills and instilling in them a passion for learning
• Nurturing the curiosity of children in your care, expanding their skillset and overall development

This is a full time opportunity with a rate of $43 per hour onwards depending on experience.

About The Centre

YMCA Lightning Reef Early Learning Centre is a 115 place Long Day Care service, which also offers sessional kindergarten. We are committed to building strong relationships with our families, and understanding and supporting the complex needs of both the children and families attending our service.

Lightning Reef Centre Hours: 6:30am - 5:30pm
