Job summary

Tillys Play and Development Centre in Chisholm, NSW, is seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join our family-owned service delivering high-quality care for birth to 12 years. The role is four days per week (34 hours) with above-award remuneration and strong support for professional growth.

You will be responsible for delivering play-based learning, ensuring child safety, and collaborating with a supportive team across multiple centres in the Hunter region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or ACECQA approved equivalent qualification.
  • Strong commitment to child safety with zero tolerance to harm.
  • Experience programming and planning for children, including assessing needs, setting objectives, fostering engagement, designing, implementing, and evaluating experiences.
  • Current Working with Children Check NSW, along with First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates.
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We are looking for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our Chisholm team. Our Chisholm service is purpose-built and architecturally designed and has an abundance of space for children and educators to foster curiosity, creativity, and a life long love for learning. We are committed to embedding the Child Safe Standards and maintaining an environment that promotes the safeguarding of all children as an ECT in our service, you'll play a vital role in promoting the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of children alongside our dedicated team.

Your Essential Requirements and Key Responsibilities:
  • To be considered for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or an ACECQA approved equivalent qualification.
  • You must have a strong commitment to child safety - A zero tolerance to harm or risk of harm to all children and commitment to a culture of reporting harm or risk of harm to all children.
  • Experience programming and planning for children include assessing needs, setting objectives, fostering engagement, designing, implementing, and evaluating intentional and spontaneous experiences which assist children to meet goals.
  • You should possess a Current Working with Children Check NSW, along with First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates.
  • Your passion for Early Years learning and development should shine through, aligned with Tillys' values of professionalism, high-quality care, inclusive and supportive relationships, unique learning environments, and play-based learning.
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are expected to maintain a high professional standard.
