Job summary

Latrobe City Council in Victoria is seeking casual Early Childhood Teachers to join our Preschool team. You’ll lead planning and delivery of high-quality educational programs for young children, working with educators, families and the community to support learning and development.

This role offers flexible casual hours, opportunities to grow professionally, and a supportive, child-safe workplace that values teamwork and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to mentor others.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and relevant legislation.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications and compliance with National Child Safe Training.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate engaging educational programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and NQF.
• Build partnerships with children, families and educators to support learning outcomes.
• Lead and mentor Early Childhood Educators and support preschool operations.
• Identify and support additional needs for children and collaborate with families and specialists as required.
• Maintain children's records and program planning in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Foster an inclusive, welcoming learning environment for all children and families.

Job description

Hourly rate: $42.56 - $73.70 per hour, dependent on qualifications andexperience in accordance with the Early Education Employees Agreement 2020(EEEA).

We're looking for passionate and dedicated EarlyChildhood Teachers to join our Preschool team in a Casual capacity.

In this role, you'll lead the planning and delivery ofhigh-quality educational programs that support children to learn, develop andthrive. What You’ll be Doing

• Planning, implementing and evaluating engagingeducational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning and DevelopmentFramework and National Quality Framework.

• Contributing to quality improvement initiativesand fostering a welcoming, inclusive learning environment for all children andfamilies.

You are a caring and knowledgeable Early Childhoodprofessional who is passionate about delivering quality learning experiencesfor young children. You bring strong leadership and communication skills andenjoy mentoring others while building positive relationships with families andcolleagues. You are committed to continuous improvement and creating inclusiveenvironments where every child is supported to reach their potential

Key Selection Criteria

• A tertiary qualification in Early ChildhoodEducation (or equivalent recognised qualification) and current VictorianInstitute of Teaching (VIT) registration
• Demonstrated experience developing anddelivering developmentally appropriate educational programs for children
• Strong leadership skills with the ability tosupport, guide and work collaboratively with educators and families
• Sound knowledge of the National QualityFramework, relevant legislation
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxisqualifications and Compliance with National Child Safety Training (Geccko)
