Job summary

Latrobe City Council is hiring Early Childhood Educators for our Preschools on a casual basis. You’ll help create safe, welcoming learning environments and support children's development while working with experienced teachers and educators.

The role offers flexible hours, a supportive team, and opportunities to develop skills within a community-focused council environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children's Services or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Demonstrated ability to support developmental needs, interests and learning of all children, including those with additional needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children, families and colleagues.
• Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications and Compliance with National Child Safe Training (Geccko)

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of engaging, play-based learning experiences promoting development and wellbeing.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families and fellow educators.
• Assist to create and maintain a safe, healthy and welcoming learning environment.
• Observe and contribute to children's learning and development outcomes.
• Collaborate with Early Childhood Teachers to deliver quality programs aligned with the EYLF.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain compliance with NQS.

We're looking for passionate and caring Early ChildhoodEducators (Diploma / Cert III)to join our Preschool team in a Casualcapacity.

In this role, you'll help create safe, welcoming andengaging learning environments where children can grow, learn and thrive.Working alongside experienced Early Childhood Teachers and educators, you'llplay an important role in supporting children's development, building positiverelationships with families and contributing to high-quality early learningprograms.

Key Selection Criteria

• Diploma in Children's Services or CertificateIII in Early Childhood Education and Care
