Job summary

Nido Early School in Palmyra, WA, is creating an Assistant Service Manager role to lead service operations and ensure safe, high-quality outcomes for children, families and educators.

You’ll work with the Executive Service Manager, support recruitment, maintain records, lead educational programs, and contribute to a positive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).
• At least two years' leadership experience in ECE.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS and National Quality Framework.
• Current WWCC and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• National Child Safety Training is required.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the service’s Educational Leader, leading implementation of educational programmes and supporting high-quality practice across the service.
• Support and develop educators to deliver exceptional outcomes for children.
• Ensure learning environments are safe, engaging and aligned with Nido's philosophy.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and performance processes.
• Maintain accurate staff and child records and support ongoing compliance.
• Support WHS processes, safety checks, drills and risk management.
• Provide operational leadership when the Executive Service Manager is absent.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community.
• Lead by example through consistency, respect, intentionality, collaboration and speaking up.
