Job summary

Nido Early School is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to help run our service with a focus on compliance, safety and people support. You’ll work closely with the Executive Service Manager to ensure the smooth running of the service, from staffing and safety to family engagement.

You’ll lead educational programmes, support educators to deliver exceptional outcomes for children, and maintain safe, engaging environments aligned with Nido's philosophy.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA equivalent.
• Knowledge of EYLF, NQS and National Quality Framework.
• WWCC and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Mandatory National Child Safety Training via Geccko or willingness to obtain before employment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the service’s Educational Leader, guiding educational programmes and high-quality practice.
• Support and develop educators to deliver exceptional outcomes for children.
• Ensure safe, engaging learning environments aligned with Nido's philosophy.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance processes.
• Maintain accurate staff and child records and support compliance.
• Support WHS processes, safety checks, drills and risk management.
• Provide operational leadership in the Executive Service Manager’s absence.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, educators and the community.
• Lead by example with consistency, respect and collaboration.
