Job summary

Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health & Community Services in Canberra is seeking a Community Education Coordinator for the Connected Beginnings Program. The role focuses on delivering early childhood engagement activities and developing service maps to connect health, education and family support services.

The successful candidate will have a background in Early Childhood Education, experience in planning programs for 0–5s, and the ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

Qualifications

• Background in Early Childhood Education with 0–5 age group development.
• Experience in planning and delivering early childhood programs.
• Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child health and education.
• Ability to work with cultural experts to incorporate culturally appropriate practices.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver playgroups and early childhood engagement programs.
• Develop and maintain a service map of Canberra's early childhood, health, education and family services.
• Work with service providers to promote collaboration and information sharing.
• Organise workshops and community events to enhance early years support.
• Collaborate in a small team to support program objectives.
