Job summary

Department of Education Victoria is seeking a Kindergarten Improvement Advisor to support funded kindergarten services in delivering high-quality early childhood reforms, including Best Start and Best Life initiatives. You will advise on policy, build local partnerships, and strengthen collaboration across regional and area teams.

Ideal candidates will have a tertiary Early Childhood Education qualification, WWC check, and knowledge of VEYLDF.

Qualifications

Experience in early childhood settings or transferable knowledge.
Strong interpersonal, influencing, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of VEYLDF and quality pedagogical practices.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain strong working relationships with funded kindergarten services.
Apply problem-solving skills to manage problems and decisions.
Utilise department systems, including the Kindergarten Information and Service Agreement Management systems.
Engage in meaningful conversations with services, using data and evidence to identify and address needs.
Foster development of collaborative relationships widely in the community.
Provide advice on delivery issues, operational perspectives and policy implications.
