Job summary

Cessnock ELC is seeking enthusiastic early childhood educators with a Certificate III or Diploma to join our purpose-built centre in Cessnock. You will create a warm, secure environment for children aged 0–6, plan engaging activities, and work with the team to deliver quality learning experiences.

Applicants must hold current First Aid and CPR, a valid Working with Children check, and a strong knowledge of EYLF/NQS.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong understanding of EYLF and NQS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, welcoming, and secure environment for children.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities.
• Observe and monitor children's growth, behavior, and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and evaluate curriculum.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Great time management skills as you navigate a float position covering Study, Programming and Training.
