Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking casual OSHC Educators to provide engaging after-school care across Newcastle. Roles are unqualified or qualified, with scheduling managed via our app and shifts typically 2pm–6pm.

Enjoy benefits and Paytime access while supporting children in outdoor and indoor activities across multiple sites. No qualifications are required if you have child-related experience; otherwise, hold a relevant Diploma or Certificate IV.

Qualifications

• No qualifications needed but experience working with children is essential or you will hold a Diploma or Certificate III in early childhood education, Certificate IV in Education Support, Certificate IV in school aged education & care, Certificate IV in Children's Studies 4-14 years.
• Willingness to travel to different locations around your area
• Able to implement quality, engaging, and activity-based programs
• An understanding of the My Time Our Place Framework
• Australian work rights
• A willingness to gain your state based Working With Children Card and Food Handling Certificate
• Committed to Child Safeguarding and understanding of Mandatory Reporting responsibilities required
• Willingness to complete mandatory national child safety training
• Able to provide contact details for at least two most recent professional referees who have managed you and can speak to your ability to work with children

Responsibilities

• Actively supervising primary school aged children in outdoor and indoor activities
• Assisting other staff in engaging in programs that are both fun and educational
• Setting up outside of school clubs and activities
• Offering a safe and secure environment
• Liaison with carers and families

About you:
