Job summary

Fitzroy Street Learning Centre is seeking dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our Melbourne team. We welcome applicants with Certificate III, Diploma or ECT qualifications to support children’s development in a hands-on learning environment.

We offer full-time and part-time positions, with a focus on play-based learning, structured activities, and daily care routines in line with EYLF and NQS. Join our supportive centre near local amenities and enjoy a collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma or ECT qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to planning and delivering play-based learning aligned with EYLF.
• Assist in preparing and implementing educational and recreational activities.
• Provide attentive care to infants and young children including feeding and toileting routines.
• Observe, document and support assessment of children's development and learning.
• Apply positive behaviour guidance to support social and emotional development.
• Supervise children to ensure safety and engagement.
• Support daily routines including meals, hygiene and rest.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised learning environment.
• Collaborate with educators and families to support each child's development.
• Ensure compliance with National Quality Standards and centre policies.
