Early Learning Victoria Avoca opens in 2027, co-located with Avoca Primary School, offering long day care and three- to four-year kindergarten programs. The centre is part of a government-backed rollout providing high-quality, play-based education in a 57-place setting.

We seek an educator with ACECQA Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or currently completing). Relocation incentive up to $8,000 may apply; police checks and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved Certificate III level qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively working towards completion.
• Valid Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications; Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting online learning.

Responsibilities

• Support the team to deliver high-quality early childhood education guided by evidence-informed, contemporary pedagogy and practice.
• Contribute to and assist in the planning and implementation of the educational program, aligned with NVQ standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Monitor children's progress and support their social, emotional and cognitive development.
• Build respectful, collaborative relationships with families, children and colleagues.

Job description

Early Learning Victoria (ELV), as part of the Department of Education, is leading the roll-out of 50 government-owned and operated early learning centres by 2032, with 18 currently operating. Our centres offer long day care, three and four-year-old kindergarten and pre-prep in accessible, play-based environments connected to local communities. About the Role

Opening in 2027 and co-located with Avoca Primary School, Early Learning Victoria Avoca is a 57-place centre and will provide long day care, Three-Year-Old Kindergarten and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs.

In this role, you will:

Support the team to deliver high-quality early childhood education guided by evidence-informed, contemporary pedagogy and practice

Contribute to and assist in the planning and implementation of the educational program, aligned with the National Quality Standards, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and National Education and Care Law and Regulations

Monitor children's progress and support their social, emotional and cognitive development

Build respectful, collaborative relationships with families, children and colleagues, ensuring all children feel safe and valued

About You

Experience as an early childhood educator (Certificate III), delivering a high-quality play-based educational program (recently qualified candidates are welcome to apply)

Sound understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, Education Care Services National Law and Regulations, the National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards

Effective communication and relationship-building skills with staff, children, families and communities

Experience working with children and families experiencing vulnerability is desirable

Qualifications and Experience
