Job summary

VECRA is seeking a Compliance Officer in Ballarat to support area-based teams in regulatory and compliance activities for early childhood education and care services. You will conduct visits to assess compliance with the National Law and Regional Regulations, triage notifications, and help prepare formal reports.

Qualifications

• Essential: valid Working with Children’s Check and driver’s licence.
• Desirable: qualifications in compliance, regulation, business administration or early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the area/region and assist with report writing.
• Conduct compliance service visits across education and care settings to assess compliance with National Law and Regulations.
• Support authorised officers during regulatory visits and investigations as directed.
• Assess complaints and incidents, triage and document findings.
• Prepare compliance documentation and records of notable incidents.
• Attend and participate in team meetings and liaise with stakeholders to support regulatory activities.
• Maintain data accuracy in the National Quality Agenda IT System.
