Job summary

Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority in Melbourne is seeking an Early Childhood Compliance Officer based in Dandenong. You will support area teams, assist with reporting, and conduct regulatory visits to early learning services across South Eastern Victoria.

Travel within the region is expected as part of a collaborative, supportive team. Join VECRA to help uphold National Law standards, collaborate with authorised officers, and improve services for children’s safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Desirable: relevant qualifications in compliance, regulation, business administration, early childhood education or similar.
• Essential: Victorian Working with Children Check and Victorian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the area or region and assist with report writing and regulatory duties.
• Conduct compliance service visits across education and care settings to assess against National Law/Regulations.
• Support senior authorised officers in regulatory visits as directed.
• Assess complaints and incident notifications and triage using a systematic approach.
• Prepare compliance documentation, including correspondence, notes and reports.
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings and share information with stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality and timely input within the National Quality Agenda IT System.
