Job summary

VECRA in Coburg, VIC, is seeking a diligent Early Childhood Compliance Officer to support area-based teams. You will undertake administrative, regulatory and compliance tasks across a range of early childhood settings, ensuring adherence to the National Law and Regulations.

The role requires strong planning, data entry, and stakeholder engagement skills, with regular travel within the North Western Victoria region and occasional overnight trips.

Qualifications

• Desirable: Relevant qualifications in compliance, regulation, business administration, early childhood education or similar.
• Essential: Valid Victorian Working with Children's Check and Victorian driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the area or region, assist with report writing and other regulatory activities.
• Conduct compliance service visits across education and care settings to assess compliance against National Law and Regulations.
• Support senior officers during regulatory visits as directed.
• Assess complaints and incident notifications and triage them using a systematic approach.
• Prepare compliance documentation, including correspondence, observation notes and reports.
• Attend and participate in team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to support regulatory activities.
• Ensure data quality and timely input in the National Quality Agenda IT System.
