Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Clunes VIC is seeking an Assistant Centre Director for Early Childhood to support the Centre Director in daily operations, promoting high-quality programs and ensuring safety and compliance.

You will lead staff development, assist enrolment management, and foster a positive, inclusive team culture across the 102-place centre co-located with Clunes Primary School, aligning with Victorian standards and ELV guidelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher; Bachelor in ECE is highly regarded.
• Working with Children Check, First Aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications are required.
• Police check; international police check if resided outside Australia for 12+ months in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Centre Director to oversee daily operations at the service.
• Assist in delivering high-quality programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, organisational policies and procedures.
• Support staff recruitment, development and enrolment management, with assistance from the ELV Central team.
• Foster a positive team culture which contributes to a sustainable workforce.
