Geelong English Language School (GELS) invites applications for Range 2 classroom teachers. The roles focus on improving student performance aligned with the school’s strategic plan and state-wide priorities, with emphasis on high quality instruction and staff development.

Successful candidates will meet diverse student needs, mentor colleagues, and use student data to inform teaching, with responsibilities including supervising student teachers and contributing to school policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
• Ability to plan for and implement high impact teaching strategies.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning with data-informed feedback.

Responsabilités

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals.
• Contribute to curriculum development and evaluation.
• Undertake teaching-related and organisational duties as required by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Supervise and train student teachers.
