Beaconsfield Primary School is seeking an Education Assistant to support students with English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) in a diverse, multilingual environment. The role includes assisting with EAL/D curriculum delivery, assessment, and support for pupils in mainstream classes and the Intensive English Centre (IEC).

Ideal candidates will have experience with EAL/D learners, strong organisational and communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to work with teachers, families

Qualifications

• Experience supporting EAL/D students or working in an Intensive English Centre is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills to promote inclusivity and diversity.
• Ability to assist with delivery of EAL/D curriculum and assessment practices.

Responsabilités

• Support teachers to deliver planned EAL/D education programs.
• Assist with identifying and representing educational and cultural needs of EAL/D students.
• Provide advice to teachers on program content relating to students’ first culture.
