Job summary

Lynwood Senior High School Intensive English Centre (IEC) is seeking passionate, motivated and committed Teachers – English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) to join our IEC team as we expand in 2027. Applicants with expertise in delivering EAL/D programs, plus Maths and/or Science knowledge, will support students to develop language proficiency through curriculum learning.

Ideal candidates have TESOL/EALD qualifications, experience in IEC or similar settings, plan engaging lessons

Qualifications

• Qualified in EAL/D with TESOL or equivalent registration.
• Experience delivering EAL/D programs in secondary settings.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for culturally and linguistically diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging EAL/D programs aligned with WA Curriculum.
• Explicitly teach Standard Australian English using effective language acquisition strategies.
• Assess progress using EAL/D tools and differentiate accordingly.
• Collaborate with families, interpreters and school teams to support wellbeing and transition.
