Job summary

UGL is seeking an experienced E&I QA/QC professional to join the Perth-based team on the Chevron Brownfields project. The role focuses on delivering front-end readiness and quality outcomes for site execution, ensuring compliance with UGL and Chevron standards.

You will lead QA/QC inputs/outputs, develop job packs, ITPs and weld maps, and monitor quality performance across projects with strong stakeholder engagement and data reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within Oil & Gas or major projects.
  • Strong experience building E&I Job Packs and related quality documentation.
  • Commissioning and systems completion experience.
  • Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality leadership, advice, and assurance across E&I scopes.
  • Coordinate pre-mobilisation readiness through development/review of E&I Job Packs, ITPs, WPS, weld maps, consumables and traceability.
  • Maintain quality control systems and registers; monitor performance against project requirements.
  • Implement quality metrics, reporting, and trend analysis.
  • Support inspection planning and scheduling; deliver education and guidance to teams.
  • Identify and manage quality risks impacting execution outcomes.

Job description

UGL is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced E&I QA/QC to join our team. This role will be a site based (5:2) role for the Chevron project, this role will be part of the Perth based team dedicated to delivering front-end readiness for Brownfields projects.

About Role

The purpose of the role is to manage E&I QA/QC inputs & outputs for the Chevron Brownfields projects, Perth and Site Execution Team, ensuring that the Project achieves Quality outcomes. The role is required to provide excellence in the delivery of assurance, systems & process, to ensure safe and timely scope completion in compliance with UGL and Chevron requirements. Contractual compliance and achievement of the projects desired Quality outcomes are key deliverables of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality leadership, advice, and assurance across E&I scopes
  • Support pre-mobilisation readiness through development and review of E&I Job Packs, ITPs, WPS, weld maps, consumables, and traceability
  • Coordinate and maintain quality control systems and registers
  • Review and monitor quality performance and compliance against project requirements
  • Implement quality performance measures and reporting, including trend analysis
  • Support inspection planning and scheduling
  • Deliver quality education and guidance to project and execution teams
  • Identify and manage quality risks impacting execution outcomes
  • Review upcoming scopes to ensure quality readiness
  • Produce timely quality reports with mitigation strategies
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within Oil & Gas or major projects
  • Strong experience building E&I Job Packs
  • Commissioning and systems completion experience
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, including reporting and data analysis
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
