Job summary

HR Partners is helping a leading civil construction group hire a Multi-Skilled Operator for asphalt plants in Somerton and Bayswater. The role splits time between controlling the batching process, operating heavy machinery, and assisting with plant maintenance.

Experience in asphalt/concrete batching, front-end loader operation, and a valid tickets/licence are highly valued. Training provided; long-term opportunities available.

Qualifications

Experience in asphalt, concrete batching plants, or quarry environments.
Valid Front End Loader, Excavator and Dozer tickets are highly desirable.
Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
Ability to start early and operate multiple plant pieces.

Responsibilities

Operate asphalt plant control systems to blend aggregates, bitumen, and additives.
Safely operate Front End Loader to feed bins and manage stock piles; assist with yard duties.
Assist with routine plant maintenance, clear blockages, and keep the batching area clean.
Conduct basic quality checks on materials and finished asphalt.
Monitor raw material stock levels to support continuous production.
