Job summary

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is seeking a Production Coordinator to join the Digital & National News team on a nine-month contract in Sydney. Reporting to the Production Lead, you will provide administrative and production coordination to keep the newsroom running smoothly.

You will handle rostering, travel logistics, onboarding for short-term staff, time recording, contracts and invoicing, while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers in

Qualifications

• Strong administrative, organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in rostering, scheduling, and time & attendance management.
• Sound knowledge of financial and administrative processes.
• Ability to identify, analyse and resolve operational issues bringing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support the Production Lead, Business Lead and Editors in day-to-day newsroom operations.
• Coordinate crew bookings and diary management across teams.
• Coordinate onboarding for short-term contracts, casuals and independent contractors.
• Coordinate rostering and time recording to align with needs.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements and costings.
• Process invoices, procurement, expense reconciliations and costings.
• Assist production planning and logistics for news coverage and projects.
• Support staff onboarding and system access.
