The position is full-time and permanent with an ASAP start. You will plan and deliver lessons across physical and human geography, develop analytical skills, and promote the use of geographical evidence.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or be eligible for Early Career Teacher status.
• Have a degree or strong subject knowledge in Geography.
• Be confident teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
• Understand GCSE Geography curriculum requirements.
• Demonstrate effective planning, assessment and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach physical and human Geography per curriculum requirements.
• Prepare students for GCSE assessments and exams.
• Develop map-reading and data interpretation skills.
• Use case studies to explore real-world geographical issues.
• Encourage evaluation of environmental and social challenges.
• Differentiate lessons to support varied abilities.
• Provide feedback on students’ work and progress.
• Support fieldwork and geographical investigations.
• Collaborate with Humanities colleagues on planning and resources.

Education
