Job summary

Queensland Health's Gladstone Emergency Department delivers urgent care around the clock, treating patients of all ages and handling about 35,000 visits a year. A dedicated paediatric zone is planned to strengthen services for children and families.

As a registered nurse you will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing care, work within NMBA standards, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and support learning across the ward.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate safe, evidence-based, person-centred nursing care.
• Knowledge of nursing legislation and NMBA Standards for Practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients across inpatients and outpatients.
• Work within professional standards, legislation and scope of practice with clinical judgement and accountability.
• Provide education to patients, families and colleagues while supporting learning and applying current research.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to care planning and outcomes; undertake shift coordination as required.
