Qualifications

• Must hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate safe, evidence-based nursing care.
• Knowledge of nursing legislation and NMBA standards.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and relationship-building with patients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for inpatients and outpatients, responding effectively to changes in patient condition.
• Work within professional standards, legislation and scope of practice, exercising clinical judgement, autonomy and accountability for care and delegated activities.
• Provide education to patients, families and colleagues while supporting a positive learning environment and incorporating current research into clinical practice.
• Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, contribute to care planning and improved patient outcomes, and undertake team or shift coordination as required.
