Job summary

Avenel Primary School in North East Victoria is seeking a dedicated classroom teacher to deliver high‑quality literacy, numeracy and inclusive practice aligned with the Victorian Curriculum. You will plan, deliver and differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and support engagement and achievement.

Role includes collaboration within Professional Learning Communities, data-informed teaching, and contributing to school improvement through MTSS and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Eligible for Victorian teaching registration (provisional or full).
• Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and literacy/numeracy instruction.
• Ability to differentiate learning for diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individuals.
• Develop, implement and evaluate curriculum within the school.
• Undertake other classroom duties as directed by leadership.
• Participate in parent meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Contribute to policy development and school improvement.
