Job summary

MGN Civil is seeking multiple Casual Articulated Dump Truck operators for our land reclamation work at the Port of Brisbane. As an operator you must be willing to do ground labouring work, including laying geofabric and assisting with dredge pipe movements.

The roster is 6am start, Monday to Saturday, 10.5 hour days, with Saturday work dependent on scheduling. A flat rate of $47.50 per hour will be paid inclusive of penalties, plus meal and travel allowance.

Qualifications

• Casual articulated dump truck operator with valid licence.
• Willing to perform groundworks including geofabrics.
• Current construction white card is preferred.
• Good radio communication and safety adherence on site.
• Must have a valid driver licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate civil plant: dump truck, water cart, and front-end loader.
• Perform groundworks including geofabric placement and surveying aids.
• Assist with dredge pipe movements and land reclamation tasks.
• Maintain safety on site and follow site procedures.
• Communicate clearly via radio and work with the team.

Roster

The roster is 6am start, Monday to Saturday, 10.5 hour days, with Saturday work dependent on scheduling.

The Role

Operation of civil plant (dump truck, water cart, and front-end loader).

You will be required to complete physical groundwork in sandy conditions to assist with preparation (geofabrics & survey flags), pipeline placement to enable completion of land reclamation works.

Good radio communication skills to ensure safe and productive work.

Adherence to safety requirements onsite.

Strong work ethic and team first attitude.

Willingness to learn new skills.

Additionally, the successful candidate will need current Driver Licence, and hold a construction industry white card prior to starting employment.
