Job summary

Northern Star Resources Ltd. is hiring an Experienced Dump Truck Operator for our Bannockburn site in the goldfields region. You will operate Hitachi 3500 dump trucks, perform pre-start checks, and report maintenance issues to ensure safe, efficient production.

A 2:1 roster (7 days on/7 nights) applies, with a focus on safety and teamwork. The role collaborates with excavator operators, dispatch and supervision to maintain high safety standards and production targets in an open pit mining

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months experience operating mechanical or electric haul trucks in open pit mining.
• Strong safety mindset and teamwork ethic.
• Solid understanding of open pit mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive rigid Hitachi 3500AC-3 dump trucks and operate them safely to meet production targets.
• Perform pre-start checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow designated haul routes and traffic procedures on site.
• Collaborate with excavator operators, dispatch and supervisors to optimise operations.
• Stay alert to changing pit conditions and site hazards at all times.
• Complete production records and perform clear shift handovers.

We are now hiring Experienced Dump Truck Operatorsto join our Bannockburn site, located in the goldfields region for Northern Star Surface Mining (NSSM).

Reporting to Production Supervisor you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a range of Hitachi EH3500 Dump Trucks to achieve production targets while maintaining high safety and operational standards. This role is on a 2:1 roster 7days7nights.
