Job summary

Northern Star Surface Mining is seeking Experienced Dump Truck Operators for our Bannockburn or KCGM Superpit sites in Western Australia. You will operate rigid haul trucks, perform pre-start checks and follow routes to help achieve production targets while upholding safety standards.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you’ll work 2:1 on a 7 days 7 nights roster with a strong emphasis on teamwork, accuracy in production records, and clear shift handovers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months experience operating mechanical or electric haul trucks in open pit mining.
• Strong safety mindset and teamwork.
• Solid understanding of open pit mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Drive rigid haul trucks (Hitachi EH3500 or CAT 793F) to meet production targets.
• Perform pre-start checks and report maintenance issues.
• Follow designated haul routes and traffic procedures.
• Work closely with excavator operators, dispatch, and supervisors.
• Stay alert to changing pit conditions and site hazards.
• Complete production records and handover shift details.
• Support a safety-first, team-driven work environment.

Job description

We are now hiring Experienced Dump Truck Operators to join our Northern Star Surface Mining (NSSM) team at either our Bannockburn site or KCGM Superpit.

Reporting to Production Supervisor you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a range of Hitachi EH3500 or CAT793F Dump Trucks to achieve production targets while maintaining high safety and operational standards. This role is on a 2:1 roster 7days7nights.

Here’s what awaits you:

• Driving the rigid Hitachi 3500AC-3 truckor CAT 793F
• Performing pre-start checks and reporting maintenance issues
• Following designated haul routes and traffic procedures
• Working closely with excavator operators, dispatch, and supervisors
• Staying alert to changing pit conditions and site hazards
• Completing production records and clear shift handovers
• Supporting a safety-first, team-driven work environment

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
