Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Duck Creek Delivery Lead / Scrum Master to drive successful delivery of insurance technology initiatives across Duck Creek Policy, Billing, and Insights platforms. You will partner with business stakeholders, product owners and delivery teams to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes and bridge business and technical perspectives.

The role emphasizes facilitation of Agile ceremonies, risk management, and continuous improvement to achieve measurable delivery

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Delivery Lead in large-scale technology delivery.
• Experience delivering Duck Creek Policy, Billing, Insights projects.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery.
• Experience managing end-to-end software implementation projects from planning through deployment and business adoption.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong facilitation skills with experience leading Agile ceremonies and delivery governance activities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Strong project planning, dependency management, and risk management capabilities.
• Experience working within insurance, policy administration, billing, or financial services environments.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and enterprise technology delivery practices.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on delivery outcomes and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience producing project status reports, delivery dashboards, and executive-level communications.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills with a proactive and delivery-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• Bridge between business stakeholders and tech delivery teams to ensure alignment of priorities.
• Lead planning and delivery of Duck Creek implementation projects across Policy, Billing, and Insights.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and roadmaps.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including BAs, Configurators, Developers, QA, Architects, and support teams.
• Track progress, manage dependencies, and proactively identify and resolve delivery risks and issues.
• Ensure milestones, sprint commitments, and release schedules are met within timelines and budgets.
• Support backlog management and readiness for development.
• Drive continuous improvement across Agile processes, delivery practices, and team performance.
• Provide stakeholder communications, project status reporting, and governance updates.
• Remove delivery blockers and foster a collaborative environment for teams to perform.
• Monitor project metrics and team performance to drive transparency and predictable delivery outcomes.
• Support release planning, deployment, and post-implementation reviews for business adoption.
• Promote Agile best practices while balancing business priorities, technical constraints, and delivery commitments.
