Blackbook Executive Pty is seeking a hands-on Dual Trade Maintenance Technician - Mechanical Fitter / Electrician for a busy food manufacturing operation in Fairfield East, NSW. The role focuses on mechanical maintenance with electrical fault finding, and involves working across production machinery to keep downtime to a minimum.

The successful candidate will hold a Mechanical Fitter qualification (Cert III or equivalent) with electrical experience, or a dual trade qualification.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (Cert III Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent).
• Electrical qualifications or practical electrical maintenance experience.
• Dual Trade Fitter and Electrician is acceptable.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with production machinery, motors, conveyors and automated equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a maintenance team.

Responsabilités

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance across production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
• Perform mechanical repairs, fitting, equipment adjustments and component replacements.
• Assist with electrical fault finding, motors, sensors and control systems.
• Minimise production downtime through effective troubleshooting and repairs.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 12pm-8pm

Employment: Full-time, Permanent

FMCG/Food Manufacturing experience highly desireable

The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Fitter with electrical qualifications or experience, or a Dual Trade Electrician/Fitter, to join a busy food manufacturing operation in Fairfield East.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical maintenance background and the ability to assist with electrical fault finding, troubleshooting and repairs across production machinery.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically strong, electrically capable and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  About You

  • Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or industrial manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience with production machinery, motors, conveyors and automated equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
