Job summary

Blackbook Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Electrician for an established FMCG manufacturing site in Lidcombe, Sydney. You will undertake breakdown repair, preventative maintenance and reliability work across production lines.

The role offers a permanent afternoon shift (12pm-8pm), Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities. Join a fast-paced operation focused on safety, efficiency and ongoing maintenance improvements.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified and licensed Electrician in NSW.
• Industrial maintenance experience preferred in FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or pharma sectors.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults across production machinery and equipment.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose faults involving motors, sensors, PLCs, VSDs and control systems.
• Support equipment installations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to breakdowns to ensure safe, efficient operation of production equipment.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to sustain equipment reliability.

The Opportunity

Blackbook Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join an established FMCG manufacturing operation based in Lidcombe, Sydney.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified electrician with a strong industrial maintenance background to join a production environment, working across breakdowns, preventative maintenance and ongoing equipment reliability.
With a consistent afternoon shift roster and overtime available, this role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults across production machinery and equipment.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose faults involving motors, sensors, PLCs, VSDs and control systems.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to breakdowns and ensure production equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to maintain equipment reliability.

What We’re Looking For

• Fully qualified and licensed Electrician in NSW.
• Previous experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with automated production machinery, motors, PLCs and VSDs.
• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance, safety and problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
