ep group is seeking a Dual Trade Fitter for an afternoon shift in Dandenong, Victoria. The role involves hands-on preventative and reactive maintenance across a modern food manufacturing environment, with opportunities to work on mechanical and electrical systems at a major site.

The successful candidate will have mechanical and electrical trade qualifications, experience in conveyors and packaging machinery, welding/fabrication, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting.
• Electrical trade qualification / relevant electrical licence.
• Experience in maintenance within food manufacturing or similar production environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with conveyors, motors, packaging machinery and production equipment.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Computer literacy and experience using maintenance systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Commitment to workplace safety.

Responsabilités

• Preventative and reactive maintenance across production and processing equipment.
• Mechanical fault finding and repairs across conveyors, packaging lines, motors and production machinery.
• Electrical fault finding, testing and repairs.
• Installation, commissioning and upgrading of plant and machinery.
• Working across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Welding and fabrication work as required.
• Interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working safely at heights when required.
• Using maintenance management systems and basic computer applications.
• Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
