Job summary

Evoenergy is seeking a qualified, safety-focused professional to join the Ground and Zone Assets team in the ACT. The role covers construction, maintenance and operation of the electricity distribution network, with hands-on fieldwork and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will work across customer connections, substation activity, and on-call rosters, requiring Certificate III in Electrical trades and an unrestricted ACT Electrical License (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III Systems Electrician
• Certificate III ESI – Distribution Cable Jointing
• Unrestricted ACT Electrical License or ability to obtain one
• Previous field construction/maintenance of network infrastructure
• Commitment to safety and community protection

Responsibilities

• Install services from Evoenergy distribution network to customers premises
• Complete documentation including work orders, vehicle logs, timesheets
• Complete training and authorisation for HV and LV field switching
• Zone and distribution substation construction and maintenance
• Participate in on-call and shift-work rosters as required
• Other duties within skill, competence and training

Key responsibilities:

• The installation of services from Evoenergy distribution network to customers premises
• Timely completion of all record keeping documentation which includes work order and task completion, vehicle log sheets, timesheets etc
• Be willing to complete the relevant training and authorisation for HV and LV field switching and apply these skills as part of the core role.
• Zone and distribution substation construction and maintenance
• Participate in on-call & shift-work rosters as necessary based on Evoenergy policy.
• Other duties within the employee's skill, competence and training.
