Lindsay Australia Ltd is seeking a Local MC Driver in Mareeba for a permanent, full-time role that keeps you behind the wheel and home each night. The position is a key role keeping our depot moving and involves operating refrigerated freight across Mareeba and surrounding areas.

You’ll drive with a focus on safety, use in‑cab tech to scan freight and record deliveries, perform pre-starts and safety checks, and work with loaders and depot teams to complete deliveries with excellent customer

Qualifikationen

• Valid MC licence with heavy vehicle endorsement.
• Proven commercial driving experience (local or metro delivery) is a bonus.
• Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Aufgaben

• Drive refrigerated trailers delivering fresh, chilled and general freight across Mareeba and surrounding areas.
• Hook and unhook trailers and maneuver in depot with tug.
• Reverse B‑Doubles and singles in yard.
• Ensure freight delivered safely, on time and at the right temperature.
• Record deliveries using in‑cab technology and perform pre‑starts and daily safety checks.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and work with depot teams to get the job done.

Our Mareeba depot is looking for a Local MC Driver to join the team, offering a permanent full time position:

• Monday to Friday
• Every second Saturday with overtime available

This role is ideally suited to an experienced MC Driver that still wants to be behind the wheel but also wishes to be home each night. A key role keeping our depot moving.

What You’ll Do

• Driving the Tug around the depot to hook and unhook trailers
• Reversing B-Doubles and Singles in the yard
• Drive refrigerated vehicles delivering fresh, chilled & general freight across Mareeba and surrounding areas
• Ensure freight is delivered safely, on time, and at the right temperature
• Use in-cab tech to scan freight & record deliveries
• Complete pre-starts and daily safety checks
• Follow road laws and safety procedures
• Work with loaders & depot teams to get the job done
• Provide friendly, professional customer service
• Operate in a safety-first environment

What You’ll Bring:

• Current MC licence
• Proven commercial driving experience (local or metro delivery experience is a bonus)
• Refrigerated or cold-chain experience is helpful, but not essential
• A safe driving record (current driving history report required)
• A strong focus on safety and doing the job properly
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, on time and take pride in your vehicle and your work
