Job summary

Boart Longyear in Western Australia seeks an experienced Surface Diamond Driller to join our mining operations. You will operate and oversee drilling on 12-hour shifts, lead drill crews, and ensure daily pre-start checks and safe work practices.

Applicants must have surface drilling experience, a C Class license, ability to pass medical and drug/alcohol screens, and be eligible to work in Australia. Training and long-term stable employment are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous surface drilling experience essential.
• Experience with LM or MDR rigs essential.
• Current Drivers License.
• National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
• First Aid and CPR certificate desirable.
• Certificate III in Drilling desirable but not essential.
• Physical ability to lift 30kg repeatedly.
• Pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical, including drug/alcohol screen.
• Demonstrated personal commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead drill crews and train Driller Assistants.
• 2/1 or 2/2 rosters with rotating shifts.

We are currently seeking experiencedSurface Diamond Drillers in Western Australia. We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated with a strong commitment to Health & Safety.

About the Role:

• 2/1 or 2/2 rosters with rotating shifts

• Conducting drilling operations over a 12-hour shift

• Leading drill crews, including training of Driller Assistants

• Daily pre-start equipment checks

• General maintenance

• Setting up drill pads and coordinating rig moves

• Completion of safety documentation and compliance with safe work practices

The successful candidate must possess:

• Previous Surface Drilling experience essential

• Experience working with an LM or MDR rig is essentia

• Current Drivers C License

• National Police Clearance, or ability to have one

• First Aid and CPR certificate (desirable)

• Certificate III in Drilling desirable, but not essential

• Physical ability to lift 30kgs repetitively in a labour-intensive role

• Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
