Job summary

Thiess is seeking a Field Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Maintenance Team on a 14/7 roster. You will service, repair and maintain Epiroc drill fleets, perform pre-start checks and uphold high housekeeping standards across 12-hour shifts.

The role requires a trade qualification, 2+ years in mining or heavy earth moving, and a strong safety mindset. Camp facilities, training opportunities and benefits are provided by Thiess.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years post trade experience in mining or Heavy Earth Moving induction.
• Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of Epiroc Drills.
• Experience in vehicle air conditioning systems (desirable).
• HR drivers licence (desirable).
• Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Work a 14/7 roster, 7 days and 7 nights, 12 hours shifts.
• Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of drill fleet with servicing, lubrication and documentation.
• Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs to a high standard.
• Source technical information from reference manuals, bulletins, OEM and computer bases systems.
• Set and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Carry out pre-start checks.
