Job summary

MACA is seeking a Drill Fitter to join our maintenance team at the McPhee Creek project in Western Australia, on a 2/1 FIFO roster. The site is located about 30km north of Nullagine in the Pilbara region, supporting a three-year program involving mine load/haul and processing at Roy Hill.

Applicants should hold an Australian Recognised Trade Certificate with a preferred HR Licence and open-pit mining experience, plus strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with various drills.

Job description

MACA are seeking a Drill Fitter to join our maintenance team at our brand-new McPhee Creek project on a 2/1 FIFO roster.

The McPhee Creek Iron Ore Project is located 30km north of Nullagine in the north-east Pilbara region of WA. The three-year project scope includes mine load and haul of up to 10 million tonnes per annum, before being transported to Roy Hill for processing.

Experience in Epiroc Pit Viper 231, D65 drills and MD6250 is desirable.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate.
• HR Drivers Licence preferred
• Strong problem-solving ability including diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across various fleets and machinery.
• Experience in an open pit mining environment.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Must present with a “Can Do” attitude to work and safety.
