Job summary

Glencore Mt Owen/Glendell Operations (MGO) in New South Wales seeks an experienced Mining Superintendent – Drill and Blast to lead day-to-day drilling and blasting activities, coordinate contractors, and drive production safely and efficiently. You will report to the Mining Manager and oversee a high-performing team of supervisors and crews.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking and a track record in operational drilling, blasting and stakeholder management within the mining

Qualifications

• Experience in drilling, blasting and contractor management.
• Leadership of diverse teams including supervisors, employees and contractors.
• Current NSW Explosive Security Clearance (desirable).
• Current Mining Engineering Manager Practicing Certificate (desirable).
• Computer literacy for safety, people and productivity reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining teams including Supervisors, Employees and Contractors.
• Oversee drilling and blasting operations and contractor management.
• Ensure compliance with Glencore Management Framework.
• Liaise with senior leaders and drive for results.
