Job summary

Concentis in Queensland is seeking an experienced Drill and Blast Supervisor to lead open-cut hard rock blasting on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is based on a 14/14 roster with camp accommodation and FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, flights provided by the employer.

You will oversee daily drill and blast activities across multiple pits, ensure safety compliance, and drive performance while supporting a major greenfield copper project in Northwest Queensland.

Qualifications

• Monitor performance and implement improvements across operations.
• Collaborate with technical services, production and maintenance teams.
• Report on operational performance and participate in daily production meetings.

You will join a collaborative mining team delivering a major greenfield copper project in Northwest Queensland, approximately 75 km north-west of Cloncurry. Working across multiple open pits, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and compliant drill and blast operations while supporting production targets and operational excellence.

Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will oversee daily drill and blast activities, coordinate operational plans, manage explosive handling requirements and lead a team of operators. Your strong background in open-cut hard rock mining will help you maintain high safety standards, optimise performance and build effective working relationships across production, technical services and maintenance teams.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity working a 14/14 dayshift-only roster, with camp accommodation provided while on site. FIFO is available from Brisbane or Townsville, with flights paid by the employer. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a major copper operation while building your leadership capability within a supportive mining environment.
